Always up to date, with the latest tools and data by trainers with a lot of experience in the field. We determine the content of the training together as trainers. We are real professionals who always follow the latest developments and share best practices with each other. In this way, we constantly renew the training courses and keep them up-to-date and improved. But we also pay a lot of attention to the form of our Agile and Scrum courses. Sitting still, powerpoints and silence make us itch. A lot of movement, discussions and interaction turn us on! That’s why we use a manifesto based on “training from the back of the room,” which describes the best way to transfer knowledge based on science. In that manifesto, the answers to the following 6 questions are key.Falling asleep on a chair that’s too hard? No way.Okay, of course there are times when we sit on a chair during our training sessions, for example, to take a few notes. But after that, we mainly use the entire training room for movement. The active forms of training cause oxygen to flow through your body and brain, stimulating your brain to absorb new learning material. Much better than dozing off on a too hard chair while staring at a screen.Silently listening to a monologue? Certainly not.Don’t expect long monotonous lectures from us. At Scrum Academy, you learn from, with and certainly with each other. The best way to learn something is to explain what you have learned to others. As a competency for an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner or Agile manager , listening is very important. As a participant of a training course, active participation in discussions is key.Scrolling along through 156 Powerpointslides? Forget it.The days of having 156 PowerPoint slides poured over you every hour are far behind us in our way of training. Graphically well-facilitated flip charts that we fill step by step together with the participants stick around much longer. This means we put a lot of effort into preparation. But that then pays off in higher learning returns for participants. Blinded by long stretches of text? Excluded. We prefer to climb into the pen! Writing is “a whole brain activity. Therefore, you are given an empty notebook at the start of the training. Often the notebook is full after the training. During the training we give you the opportunity to make your own notes. By writing yourself you remember things longer.Endless exercise? Better not.Your brain works better when you have small chunks of new material to process. We divide topics into multiple steps and exercises. This ensures a lot of variety and a nice high pace. This makes Scrum Academy training easy to keep up with, despite the huge amount of theory and practice we cover. The same trick in a one-trick pony? Unthinkable.Trainers at Scrum Academy devote a lot of energy to different forms of work to keep participants stimulated. Change of routine keeps the brain active. Surprising you as a participant is our challenge. Our Definition of Done for a training courseAs trainers at Scrum Academy, we have our own Definition of Done (DoD) in addition to this manifesto when we develop a new training course. This DoD describes what we believe a training course should meet. Rules that apply to us are:The training complies with the manifestoThere is a lot of content in the training, but not too muchThere is plenty of room for interaction between participantsAnd perhaps most importantly, as a trainer, I would love to take this training myself. At Scrum Academy, we value the concept of making it stick. With that, we ensure that training sessions are very effective. Moreover, we ensure an energetic atmosphere and high learning efficiency. And that, in turn, is appreciated by participants on Google.
