Value-Driven Portfolio Management (VDPM) is a new perspective on Portfolio Management. The focus is on continuously maximizing the total return of the portfolio. This also distinguishes VDPM from other Portfolio Management models that focus much more on managing solutions.

Erik Bras and Richard de Rijke have developed the VDPM training at Schiphol Group and ING. From now on, the training is open to everyone. This is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with a new effective way of Portfolio Management, richly illustrated with practical experience.
VDPM is focused on maximizing value for the customer, organization, and employee. Instead of doing as many projects as possible, you periodically evaluate which values are most important to work on and which portfolio of solutions is the most valuable use of the available resources. Value is not only expressed in money, but also in terms such as quality, speed, user-friendliness, effectiveness, and durability. As a methodology, VDPM helps to identify and prioritize the most important values for customers. It then describes how the organization arrives at solutions through multidisciplinary teams that directly contribute to improving these customer values.
In practice, companies focus too much on managing solutions and too little on the value these solutions deliver. While that value is essential and determines whether your company is successful or not. After all, the customer is not interested in the solutions offered, but in the value delivered by means of these solutions. With VDPM, the focus is precisely on managing that value. Once it is clear which value is most important to the customers, you can determine which solutions fit best.
The VDPM Framework consists of Value Management, which is mainly aimed at giving direction to the organization, and Value Delivery, which is mainly aimed at delivering value by executive teams. This makes this training interesting for management and management layers as well as for the executive teams. It provides a clear insight into who is responsible for what and how everyone works together to deliver maximum value for the customer, organization, and employees.

In this 2-day training, you will learn everything about VDPM. The VDPM Training consists of both theory and exercises. You will learn the theoretical framework, the VDPM Manifesto containing the principles behind value-driven portfolio management, and the VDPM Maturity model that you can use when implementing VDPM. You will also work in small groups to put the theory into practice. You will learn the basic skills needed to get VDPM working. Finally, there is sufficient time in this training to discuss your own situation. Together with colleagues, you will look for suitable answers that VDPM offers. You will learn from our skilled trainers, from their practice, and from each other.
The course lasts 2 days and has a maximum of 16 participants. After this course, you can start working full of energy to deliver maximum value for your customer, organization, and employees through value-driven portfolio management.

Ik heb de training 'Agile Coach 1' gevolgd en die was boven verwachting leuk. Niet alleen omdat ik het ontdekt dat agile coaching zoveel facetten bevat (waar ik heel blij van wordt), maar ook omdat de leraar/ coach Roy echt heel goed was. Ik heb tientallen cursussen en training gevolgd, maar deze is een van de beste! Raad dit zeker aan als je agile coach wilt worden. Wel handig als je goeie kennis of ervaring hebt met agile en/ of scrum.
Erg tevreden over de Product Owner II Training! Goede trainer met duidelijke uitleg aan de hand van grote flip-overs. Fijne balans tussen theorie, eigen casussen en reflectie.
