Everything to start your first Scrum as a Product Owner

In this Product Owner I Training, you will learn how to inspire your team and get the most out of Scrum. Many people see the Product Owner role as the most challenging role in Agile & Scrum. At Scrum Academy, you learn how to fulfill this role best. The material is a complete base to earn an official PSPO 1 certificate.

The course is highly interactive and takes place in Amsterdam or in a Virtual Classroom. There’s room for your specific subjects. The Product Owner I training is aimed at starting Product Owners. We offer experienced Product Owners an in-depth expert track with more tools and best practices in our Product Owner II course.

Solid theory and practical tips

The Product Owner training consists of 30% theory and 70% practice. In small groups, you practice the theory in practical situations. You learn to recognize and avoid pitfalls. There is also sufficient time to discuss your own daily practice. Our experienced trainers share their stories from the trenches.

Get started with your team

The training takes two days and has a maximum of 16 participants. After participating, you will receive a certificate from Scrum Academy. After completing the course, you’re ready to get started with your team.

Effective enactment of your role as Product Owner

As a Product Owner, you represent the business. You are responsible for delivering customer value with your team, within the context of your organization. We will examine your role and responsibilities in every step of the Scrum framework. We focus on stakeholder management, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.

You learn how to keep the team up to speed, involve all stakeholders, and keep a grip on the project. You develop skills to create a tight backlog that creates the maximum business value (return on investment, also known as ROI).

In the theoretical part, you will learn everything you need to obtain an official Professional Product Owner (PSPO) certification online.

Certification Professional Scrum Product Owner PSPO I

After the training, you will receive a certificate of participation from Scrum Academy. If you want to certify as a Product Owner, you can do so via the PSPO I certification at Scrum.org. This certification is not included in the price, but we can arrange it for you. This allows us to keep our pricing competitive. If you wish, you can easily order it via the registration form. We will then arrange the rest and settle it with the invoice. Easy!
